Alice Griffin is the Director of DESSA, a national community development organisation with a focus on disability equality. She has spent over 25 years working in community development and disability equality and has considerable experience in the design and delivery of human rights training. Alice has worked with many families experiencing disability, especially in the area of advocacy and rights and has developed and delivered the DESSA Empowering Parents programme to more than 3,000 parents throughout Ireland. Alice is a Social Science graduate and has recently completed a Masters in International and Comparative Disability Law and Policy.  A longstanding advocate for disability inclusion, Alice is currently developing an advocacy toolkit on inclusive education for families.  DESSA – Disability Equality Specialist Support Agency www.dessa.ie
